New York City

Construction software for New York City GCs

On NYC projects, MAGE ID reads the building’s public record before you bid, and keeps permits and inspections next to your schedule.

The building record, before you bid

Enter the jobsite address and pick the building. MAGE ID reads seven Department of Buildings datasets and the PLUTO parcel record, and shows each open item with its date.

  • DOB Violations
  • DOB ECB Violations
  • DOB Safety Violations
  • DOB Complaints Received
  • DOB NOW: Build – Job Application Filings
  • DOB NOW: Build – Approved Permits
  • DOB Permit Issuance (BIS)

A dataset that can’t be read shows as not checked, never as zero.

Not checked: HPD (housing maintenance), FDNY, DEP, LPC calendar, DOT, BIS-only paper records.

Review times from city filings

See how long DOB NOW alteration reviews take in your borough, from the city’s own filings, before you promise a start date.

Inspection Ready

Inside three days of an inspection, the job page shows one list: what your inspector flagged before, word for word with the date; what your estimate puts in scope; and what inspectors commonly check, labeled as model recall, with anything less certain split out to verify on site.

After the inspection, tap Pass or Fail and add the inspector’s notes. They’re filed on the permit history, and next time they lead the list.

Code check by jobsite address

A five-borough address is checked against the NYC Construction Codes (2022 edition), enforced by the New York City Department of Buildings, not the New York State Uniform Code. That includes addresses with Queens postal names such as Astoria and Flushing.

Confirm with your building department before you build.

The building record and Inspection Ready are on every plan. Code checks, DOB review times and Inspection Ready’s commonly checked list are on Pro, $29/mo.
