We have no reviews. Here’s what we have instead.
Checked 11 September 2026
Procore has thousands of reviews on the software directories. Buildertrend has thousands. JobTread has over a hundred. MAGE ID has none, because we launched this year — and we are not going to buy any.
So don’t take our word for anything. Take the document. One thing to say plainly first, because meeting it at a paywall would be exactly the sort of thing this page exists to stop: pay applications are a Pro feature — $29 a month — not part of the Free plan. And Pro is not self-serve yet, because our card processor is still in sandbox, so today it is switched on by hand. That makes this one email and then about four minutes of your own time:
- Open a free account at app.mageid.app. No card.
- Email help@mageid.app (or use the access form) and ask for Pro. We turn it on, usually the same day. Until the processor is live we cannot bill you for it even if you want us to.
- Type in a schedule of values — six lines is plenty.
- Enter this period’s completion and any stored materials, and set your retainage percentage.
- Export the G702 and the G703 continuation sheet, and send the PDF to whoever signs off on your draws.
If your bookkeeper, your architect or your bank wouldn’t take it, close the tab. You are out four minutes and we have learned something. Most products in this category want a sales call and a demo booking before they will show you a single screen; we would rather hand you the document. A review is somebody else’s opinion of a product. You can just have the product.
The one comparison you can check yourself
The cheapest published plan we could find that includes AIA-style G702/G703 progress billing is Contractor Foreman Standard at $105 a month, billed annually, for up to three users. Knowify’s cheapest plan with AIA-style billing is $99 a month, billed annually, for one user, with each additional user $29. Ours is $29 a month with you plus two office seats — three people who can see financials, the same headcount Contractor Foreman’s $105 plan covers — and unlimited free field seats. A fourth office person moves you to Business at $79, which is still less than half of any of them.1
We are not claiming to be the only product that does this — there are hundreds of products in this category and we have not priced them all. We are claiming that this is the cheapest one we could find, that we have shown our work, and that you can check it in two browser tabs before you believe a word of it.
What we will publish when we have earned it
- Per-category estimate accuracy, measured from real corrections on real closed jobs — including the misses. The app already grades its own predictions against what the job actually cost; we simply do not have enough closed jobs behind it to publish a number that would mean anything.
- Uptime, once there is enough traffic for the figure to be a measurement rather than a rounding error.
- Nothing before then. The homepage used to animate a “+38% estimate accuracy” curve with no customers and no measurement behind it. It is gone. If you see a performance number on this site, it has a source next to it or it is arithmetic you can redo.
What you should hold against us
No reviews, no logos, no case studies. Correct, and stated here rather than left for you to discover.
One person. Also correct — the founder’s letter takes that objection on directly, with the mechanisms that answer it.
You cannot buy it with a card yet. The iPhone app is in TestFlight rather than the App Store, and the payment processor is still in sandbox. Free is fully live on the web; paid plans are switched on by hand after you email us.
Not everything is built. There is no accounts-payable ledger, no certified payroll, no QuickBooks Desktop or Sage. The things we have decided not to build are listed, so you can rule us out today rather than in month three.
