● See it in motion

See how MAGE ID actually works.

Real screens from the app, walked through step by step — from a plan upload to a bid confidence score to a sent estimate. Start free right now, or book a live 30-minute demo and we'll run it on your own plan set.

The difference · Bid confidence

See the number before you send the bid.

Every finished job teaches MAGE your real costs — your subs, your supply house, your market. Your next estimate gets a bid confidence score priced off your own numbers, not a generic catalog. Then a live margin-risk alert flags erosion during the job, not after the final invoice. The screens below show the whole loop.

MAGE ID job costing: budget, committed and paid by phase, and whether the job will finish on budget
MAGE ID quantity takeoff: the monthly page quota and which takeoff depth reads the drawings Step one: upload the plan set

The core loop, on real screens: drop a plan set, the AI reads it and prices a starting estimate, and every line carries the reasoning behind the number. Start free and try it on your own plans →

One project, end to end.

A single job carried across every screen — plan upload, AI takeoff, sub-trade buyout, schedule, AIA-style pay app, client portal. The tour below breaks each piece into its own screen.

AI takeoff

Drop in a PDF, get LF / SF / EA quantities

Upload a residential plan set. Watch the AI categorize walls, doors, windows, finishes, and fixtures. Edit a row. See where the number came from.

An estimate with each line, its quantity, markup and total
Spec book matcher

Pair PT-1 with the actual paint product

Upload the architect's spec PDF. The AI maps every callout code to manufacturer + product + finish + SKU. Unmatched codes flagged for RFI.

The materials price book: list prices by category, adjusted for the region
Sub-trade buyout

One tap. Eight to twelve buyout packages.

Turn the takeoff into draft buyout packages with auto-written scope text. Send to subs without leaving the app.

AI drawing analyzer

Plans → priced starting estimate

Different from takeoff. The AI returns a priced CSI-organized estimate with reasoning + a list of concerns — what the AI doesn't know, what to RFI.

A draft AIA-style pay application: contract sum, percent complete and the amount due after retainage
AIA-style progress billing

G702 + G703 generated in two minutes

The bank-formatted pay app for institutional and HNW projects. Add line completion %, retention, prior pay apps. Send the PDF.

Frequently asked.

If we missed yours, the support page has a longer list.

How accurate is the AI takeoff?
Accuracy depends on the drawing. Clean architectural sets with visible dimensions and schedules return high-confidence numbers on most rooms, walls, doors, and windows. Hand-sketched plans or scans without dimension strings get medium-to-low confidence and the AI flags them in the Concerns section. Every quantity is editable. We do not publish an accuracy number yet. Once you edit rows, the takeoff shows a roll-up of your own corrections, so you can see where the AI was off on your drawings and spot patterns before bidding.
What types of plans does it work on?
Architectural floor plans, elevations, sections, RCPs, schedules (door / window / finish / wall), MEP plans, and site plans. Single-family and multi-family residential are the primary target. Light commercial works. Heavy industrial / structural with deep MEP coordination is on the roadmap.
Can I export quantities to Excel?
CSV and PDF export are supported. There is no native Excel file with formulas. The CSV opens cleanly in Excel and Google Sheets.
Does it run offline?
The takeoff itself needs cloud AI to run. But once the takeoff lands on your phone, you can view, edit, and capture field-verification photos offline — everything queues and syncs the moment you're back on signal. Daily reports, change orders, punch items, photos, voice captures all work fully offline.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Nothing is deleted. Paid features become read-only on your existing data, and everything you have created stays viewable and exportable. You can export the full archive — every project with its estimate and revision history, plus invoices, change orders, daily reports, punch items, photo records (links valid 24h), RFIs, submittals, warranties, contacts and subcontractors — at any time, before or after cancelling, without asking us. Re-subscribe and everything picks up where it left off. We do not hold data hostage to force a retention call; there is nobody here to make one.
Is there a free trial?
Free covers one project of your own (finished jobs still count), no time limit. Pro and Business add everything else — start free on the web at app.mageid.app, cancel anytime.
Do you integrate with QuickBooks?
QuickBooks Online, yes — two-way, on Business and Enterprise. Customers, items, invoices and payments push out to QBO. Payments recorded in QBO reconcile back. Bills entered in QBO land in a cost-review queue here and you approve them line by line against the job, rather than having them appear silently in your costs. Free and Pro export a clean CSV for your bookkeeper instead.

QuickBooks Desktop and Sage: no, and not planned. If your books live there, that is a fair reason to buy something else — we would rather say so now.
Do you have an Android app?
Not in Google Play yet. On an Android phone, use the web app at app.mageid.app in your browser. The iPhone app is in TestFlight, not the App Store. One account works on both.
What's the price?
Pro is $29/month, Business $79/month, per company. There is an annual plan on both; the pricing page states why it does not print a yearly figure yet, and it is the only page that will. Both replace a stack of point tools that typically runs $400–$700/month. See the full breakdown on the Compare page.
